1. About Authorspot

Authorspot (authorspot.io) is a platform that provides indie authors with professional author profile pages and book listings. The platform is operated by [Your Name / Company Name], United Kingdom. By using this platform you agree to these terms.

2. Author Accounts

• Author accounts are created either by the Authorspot administrator or through an invitation link issued by the administrator
• Accounts are personal and may not be shared or transferred
• Authors are responsible for keeping their login credentials secure
• Authors must provide accurate information when setting up their profile
• Each author account may include multiple author profiles (pen names)

3. Content Ownership

• Authors retain full ownership of all content they submit, including biographies, book descriptions, and cover images
• By submitting content to Authorspot you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content on the platform for the purpose of providing the service
• This licence ends when your content is removed or your account is deleted
• You confirm that you own or have the right to use all content you submit, including cover images and any third-party material

4. Managed Services

• Some authors participate in our managed service, where Authorspot staff create and maintain book listings on the author's behalf
• Under managed service, all content decisions remain the author's responsibility
• Authors using managed service should review their listings and notify us of any inaccuracies at support@authorspot.io

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or inaccurate information
• Upload content that infringes copyright or other intellectual property rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to disrupt or degrade the performance of the platform

6. Purchase Links & Third Party Sites

• Authorspot displays links to third party retailers (Amazon, Etsy, Google Books, Kobo, Apple Books and others) where readers can purchase authors' books
• We are not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of these third party sites
• Transactions made through third party links are solely between the reader and the retailer — Authorspot is not a party to any such transaction

7. Featured Placements

• The homepage features selected authors and books at the discretion of the Authorspot administrator
• Featured placement may in the future be offered as a paid service
• We reserve the right to remove any featured placement at any time

8. Account Termination

• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms or that we determine, at our sole discretion, is harmful to the platform or its users
• Authors may request account deletion at any time by contacting support@authorspot.io
• On deletion, your public profile and book listings will be removed from the site

9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

• The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
• To the fullest extent permitted by law, Authorspot shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform
• Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms at any time. We will notify active authors by email of any significant changes. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
